I am friends with and work with Patti Childress. I have heard so many fun stories and wonderful things about "Granny" from Patti! She truly must have been a very courageous and wonderful Christian lady. I know she will be missed greatly. I just wanted to express my sympathy and let you all know that I am and will be praying for God's love, comfort, and grace to be felt in an awesome way.

I will miss Gwen's smile and talking about old times when she lived across the street from my grandmother, Della Burns. Gwen gave my grandmother an Oriental cup and saucer and painting and I still have them. Gwen and my mother, Virginia Dell Tolleson, were in the same Sunday school class at First Baptist Church. Mom went on to be with her Lord last December 2009. I'll bet by now Gwen and Mom have gotten a bunch together to play cards and dominoes up there. Praying that God will give you peace and comfort. Love, Marsha (Tolleson) Rhodes, Las Cruces, NM
