Mrs. Anderson was called to rest May 15, 2010 at the Nashville Nursing Home, Nashville, Arkansas. Mrs. Anderson was one of fifteen children. She attended school in Clow and Columbus High School in Columbus, Arkansas. She later married the late Reecy Anderson. Mrs. Anderson is the mother of twelve children. Four children have preceded her in death. She accepted Christ at an early age and she united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was a very active member, serving in many capacities in the Church including working as a gracious Usher, which she loved until her health began to fail. Even though her health was failing she remained concerned and interested in the growth and affairs of the Church.
Mrs. Anderson loved to cook and worked for many restaurants. She spent many years working at Childress High School Cafeteria. Mrs. Anderson was known throughout the southwest for her famous and delicious “Butter Rolls.” Mrs. Anderson retired from the Benson Nursing Home where she also worked for many years; she was a devoted housewife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and Aunt dividing her time between family, Church, and hobbies of cooking, sewing, and singing.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Rubie Lee and Jackie; two sons, Johnny Lee and Archie Lee; seven brothers, Charlie Hubbard, Herman, Archie Lee, Andrew, Henry, Roy and Earnest; and six sisters, Edna Moore, Daisy, Dorothy, Bertha Briggs, Addie Benson, and Annie Bell Briggs.
She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Earnestine (late Kary) McFall of Oakland, CA, Jerline (Roy) Davis of Mineral Springs, AR, Verdia Anderson of Oakland, CA, Gloria (James) Houston of Pine Bluff, AR, Gladys Anderson of Beacon, New York; five sons, Alfred and Reecy Anderson of Nashville, AR, Leon (Jackie) Anderson of Texarkana, AR, JC and KC Anderson of Hope, AR; one brother, James Briggs of Nashville, AR; one devoted brother-in-law, Fletcher Benson; one sister, Rosa (Bob) Lord of Peoria, AZ; 43 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Anderson Family, Our deepest sympathy, our condolences, our prayers and our love is with you all during this difficult time. I hope you can gather some comfort in knowing that your Mother is resting peacefully with the Lord. Share your tears with God. Sometimes, the tears of grief are really a prayer, even when there are no words. Tears help wash away some of the grief. As you cry, remember Revelation 21:4, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away” (KJV). Tears will come when you least expect them, but let them flow. God knows and He is there for you, He promised never to leave your or forsake you, cast all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” God has sent another comforter and that comforter is the Holy Ghost. Be encouraged, God will take you through if you trust Him to do so. Again, our deepest condolences, Pauley, Shuttleworth, Jordan & Coulter Families.
