Obituary:
William C. Calley, 80, of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at a Murfreesboro nursing home. He was born September 26, 1929, in Pike County, AR, the son of the late William and Flora Cox Calley.
He was a member and deacon for a number of years at First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro.
Mr. Calley was preceded in death by one brother, Hilton Calley and one sister, Doris Frazier.
He is survived by his wife, Juantez Calley of Murfreesboro, AR; one son, Richard Calley and wife, Sherrie, of Murfreesboro, AR; three daughters, Sherry Ray and husband, Buddy, of New Boston, TX, Laura Hoover of Murfreesboro, AR and Ruth Hughes and husband, Lloyd, of Saratoga, AR; two brothers, Neal Calley of Malvern, AR and Bobby Calley of Delight, AR; one sister, Linda Reid of Delight, AR; eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 29, at First Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with Bros. Jerry Hill and Buddy Ray officiating, burial in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
