MIKE'S FAMILY: MY SYMPATHY TO YOU IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW! MIKE WOULD KEEP ME LAUGHING WITH HIS ART OF TELLING LONG DETAILED STORIES! HE WAS A GOOD PERSON WHO ENJOYED TALKING WITH ALMOST ANYONE! IN THE OLD DAYS HE KEPT HIS BASEBALL TEAM'S DUGOUT ALERT & IN HIGH SPIRITS WITH JOKES, LOUD AWAKENING WHISTLES, AND PRANKS! SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS & PRAYING FOR YOU! GOD BLESS!

Charlotte I'm so sorry that words can't even begin to explain what I want to convey. I'm out of town and just found out today. I sure lost a great old friend. At least once a week if I had a little extra time on the way to pick up my grandson from Trinity Pre-K I would drive by your house hoping to catch Mike outside by the carport for a short visit. As luck would have it I only caught him once several months ago. I did get to visit him in Albertsons while my grandson and I were there as he was going out. As you know we had many, many years of close friendship at work and both of us being USN and USMC during Viet Nam (well, you know how he loved to talk military) we would 'go on' forever... So if you need ANYTHING that I can do to help you and your family just let me know and I didn't just say that (I really mean it). I should be home by mid-week, also one of my twins lives three houses up from Meredith on the same side and she knows where I am all the time (I'm her main babysitter). I know that Mike made it to Heaven because I know what was inside him and I pray for you and your family during this very hard time. Love you guys, Freddy.....

Saw Jerry Thomas Friday evening and he told me about Mike. I always liked being around Mike in the days we spent together at UPS. He could certainly tell some stories and enjoyed having an audience to listen to them. It has been several years since I had last seen him, but have thought about him often. Matter of fact, I just thought of him about noon Friday, I remembered something funny he had said once and laughed about it to myself, then heard about his passing later that evening. Just wanted you to know that you and your family are in our prayers. Mike was a good man and I know he will be missed.

Charlotte, we are so sorry and heartbroken for you and your family. We wanted to attend the service today, but could not. Mike was very special to us, and we shared some great memories. Yall will always be like family to us. The last time I saw Mike was a couple of years ago, and we laughed and cut up, like we always did. He always had a way of making all of us laugh. We love you, and you are in our prayers.

Charlotte, I don't know if we ever met but I worked with Mike at UPS for about 15 years. I left UPS in 1989 and I have thought of Mike so many times. I am so sorry for your loss. I remember listening to Mikes tales after a hard day at work...especially on a Friday afternoon. We were all relaxed (having finished the work week) and would enjoy sharing tales with each other. I miss his laughter and the laughter of others as he shared his humorous stories. He was a great guy and he will be missed by all who knew him. My prayers are with you and your family.
