James Allen Williams “Jimmy”, 66 of Nashville, Arkansas, died Sunday, September 20, 2009 at his home.He was born November 28, 1942, in Nashville, AR. He has been joyfully reunited with his loved ones who preceded him in death,; his grandson, John Mark Williams and parents, James H. and Raye Williams.


He was owner of Jimmy’s Grocery and Market for 25 years and custodian for First Baptist Church of Nashville for 23 years. He also served 20 years on the Nashville Fire Department, retiring as chief.

Survivors include: his wife, of forty-two years, Carol Bratton Williams, of Nashville, AR; one son, Allen Williams and wife, Sandy, of Fort Smith, AR; one daughter, Rebecca Williams of Frisco,TX; grandchildren, Hayden, Whitley and Lily Kate Williams; one sister, Carol Ann Musgrave of Nashville, AR and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 23, at First Baptist Church in Nashville, with Dr. David Blasé officiating, burial will follow in Nashville Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday, September 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear about Jimmy's death. I didn't know about it until I was having dinner with Jim and Magel in Cal. I hope you are doing okay. I have thought about you often since I found out. My prayers are with you and your family. Love, Becky
