Obituary:
Freddie A. Hopkins, 71, of Cowlingsville, AR, died Thursday, September 24, 2009, at a Texarkana hospital. He was born August 20, 1938, at Texarkana, AR, the son of the late Harry Thomas and Katherine Moore Hopkins.
He was a Navy Veteran; a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a retired Auditor with Truman Arnold Companies.
Mr. Hopkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Blair and a grandson, Jeremy Edwards.
He is survived by his wife, Vida Hopkins of Cowlingsville, AR; two sons, Terry Blair of Cowlingsville, AR and Anthony Hopkins of Cowlingsville, AR; three daughters, Barbara Blair of Cowlingsville, Cindy Hopkins of Texarkana, AR and Paula Hopkins of Texarkana, TX; two sisters, Jean Turner of Texarkana, TX and Margie Hopkins of Lockesburg, AR; fourteen grandchildrens; five great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, September 27, at New Prospect Baptist Church, with Bro. Larry Fry officiating, burial in Wright’s Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Saturday, September 26, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
