Dewey Blount

Dewey Blount, 76, of Delight, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Texarkana, TX. He was born on July 24, 1937 in Delight, Arkansas, the son of the late Grover Blount and Myrtle (Cross) Blount. Dewey was a 32nd Degree Mason, Army Veteran, retired welder, and an egg producer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Blount. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Blount of Delight; one daughter, Carol Young and husband, Myron of Texarkana, AR; one brother, Lindell Blount and wife, Linda of Delight; five grandchildren, Alecia, Misty, Jace, Randi, and Dakota; and 8 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. A host of other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, Murfreesboro with Larry Miller officiating. Burial to follow in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro. Visitation will be on Friday, April 18, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the chapel in Murfreesboro.
