Ruth Juantez Calley

Ruth Juantez Calley 85 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on August 2, 2017 in Prescott, Arkansas. She was born on May 4, 1932 in Prescott, Arkansas the daughter of the late Barney Herbert and Naomi Brown Harris. Mrs. Calley was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. She served as secretary for the Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce, she was a member of the Pike County Home Extension Club, a board member of the Southwest Arkansas Mental Health, and an Avon Representative. She was preceded in death by her husband William Clifton Calley, a sister Billie Fern McCain, and a grandson Casey Daniel Calley. Survivors include three daughters Ruth Ann Calley of Texarkana, AR; Sherry Ray and husband Buddy of New Boston, TX; Laura Fletcher and husband Keith of Tulsa, OK; one son Richard Calley and wife Dawn of Kirby, AR; three sisters Bonnie Smith of Prescott, AR; Jane Presley of Hot Springs Village, AR; Brenda Schimming of Madison, AL; ten grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday August 4, at the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro, with Buddy Ray officiating, burial to follow in Delight Cemetery.
