Tolton Clardy

Tolton was born June 21, 1933, to the parents Tennie and Myrtle Clardy who preceded him in death. Tennie Clardy was married on two occasions. He was first married to Quilla Whitmore. Two children were born from this union. They were Jeff Clardy and Cleo Clardy Shavers who preceded him in death. Later Tennie Married Mrytle Whitmore and they had sixteen children, three died as infants and 11 siblings preceded him in death. Tolton accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New View Church of Christ in Center Point, AR. He loved his parents and family dearly. Always showed Kindness, Joy, Love, and Happiness with family and friends. He received his education at Dunbar High School in Center Point, AR. In 1954, he went up north to look for work. He worked and retired after 30 years for LTV Steel in Indiana as a steel worker and supervisor. After leaving Arkansas, he lived in Chicago, IL, Indiana, and St. Paul, MN. He returned to Center Point, AR in 1993. On November 27, 2018, the Lord granted him eternal rest. He was called home to be with his Lord and Savior. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Deborah Clardy born to Peggy Matlock Jordan; two sons Thomas Pantojas, Chicago, IL, Jose Clardy, Mississippi, and a daughter Fe Clardy of St. Paul, MN born to Vicky Pantojas, Vicky preceded him death. Grandchildren: Victoriana, Andrew, Samariah, Khailiah, and Consuela, Brother, George Clardy of St. Paul, MN two sisters, Jessie Mae Vann, St. Paul, MN and Shirley Davis, Burnsville, MN; fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
