Ann Jackson

April 16, 1938 — December 14, 2025

Mineral Springs

Ann Jackson, age 87, of Mineral Springs, passed away on December 14, 2025. She was born April 16, 1938, in Mineral Springs to Lonnie and Mattie (Henderson) McCullough. She grew up in Mineral Springs along with five siblings, Jo, Judy, Sherry, Eugene, and Patti. Following graduation from Mineral Springs High School, Ann worked at St. Michael Hospital and Howard Memorial Hospital as a dietician and manager before returning to Christus St. Michael Hospital where she spent the majority of her career. During her career she obtained a certification in Dietary Management. Ann was a member of the Dietary Managers’ Association for many years, serving as an officer for the organization during that time. She was a long-time member of Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs and, most recently, New Shiloh Baptist Church.

Ann was the friendliest woman you could ever meet and never met a stranger. She enjoyed helping those around her and making new friends every chance she got. She loved Jesus and sharing the gospel with others. She made sure her family and anyone she encountered knew and loved Jesus. Ann was a member of the Red Hat Society for many years. Traveling and making new friends through her job and Red Hat Society was so special to her. She loved her job and her coworkers. Her coworkers were like family to her, and they continued to have a lasting friendship long after she retired. She loved reading, word searches, swinging on her back porch and good old country music. Ann would tell you her favorite hobby was keeping her grandkids. She and Shantel formed a very special bond spending many of their days together.

She is survived by one son, Lonnie Jackson (Regina) of Arkadelphia, one daughter, Jan Marks (Eric) of Mineral Springs, grandchildren, Brittany Godwin (Brad) of Arkadelphia, Chandra Stewart, Kelby Denton (Russell), and Camry Stewart, eleven great grandchildren, Karter, Finley, Kruze, Kynslee, Chevi, John Russell, Lonnie Ross, Maliki, Compton, Saint, and Bentley. She is also survived by her five siblings, Jo Simpkins, Judy Tabler (William), Sherry Higginbotham (Johnny), Eugene McCullough, and Patti Brett. Ann also is survived by several nieces and nephews, Marnell Pierce (Bobby), Jeremy McCullough (Lori), Brandy Davis, Keli Wylie, Christie Stinnett (Chris), and Chad Pierce (Shelley). She is also survived by a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Shantel Stewart, nephew Tracy Weems, and her husband, Sammy Jackson.
