Axel Marquez

Axel Marquez, age 22, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Nashville, Arkansas.

Axel was born on May 1, 2003 in Huetamo, Mexico to Francisca Cardenas.

Axel is survived by his loving father and mother, Fredy and Francisca Marquez, his brother Christopher Marquez and sisters Stephanie and Allison Marquez. Paternal grandparents, Inocencia Cienfuegos and Francisco Marquez and Maternal grandmother Francisca Cardenas.

Uncles and Aunts: Pablo Cardenas and Amy, Salvador Cardenas and Mariela, Leo Cardenas and Dulce, Mauricio Adame and Jemy and Aunt Alice Marquez. Cousins: Misael Cardenas, Alexandria R. Reed, Pablo G. Cardenas, Joseph A. Cardenas, Shaline Cardenas, Katy Adame, Joselin Adame. And a host of friends and family. Axel is also survived by his fiancé Marisol Gonzalez.

Axel was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leodegario Cardenas.

From childhood Axel was very loving, caring and kind. He always had a smile on his face. He was hard working, and his desire was to finish a degree in engineering and technology and to work for Google. This was his biggest dream. When Axle was not doing anything else he was playing Nintendo!

On weekends Axel enjoyed shopping for tennis shoes and caps. In the evening time he loved going to the movies with his friends.

The funeral home will be open for visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, at Maranatha Baptist Church in Nashville, Arkansas, burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
