Betty Jones

Betty Lorine Stelter Haltom Jones, age 86, formerly of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on April 16, 2019 in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was born October 18, 1932 in Rosboro, Arkansas the daughter of the late Harry "Huey" C. and Lela Zelma Ponder Stelter. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Nazarene Church, and was worked as a licensed practical nurse for many years. She was preceded in death by two husbands William "Bill" Haltom, Lloyd Martin Jones, one daughter Dawn Lorine Jones, one great grandson John Raven Cobb, a son in law Dean Head, three sisters Johnnie Mae Stelter, Lola Maxine Holder, and Nola Ray Tankersley. Survivors include one son Stephen Lee Haltom and wife Debbie of Long Star, TX; two daughters Carol Head of Hope, AR; Betty Sue Dupuis and husband Johnny of Tucson, AZ; one brother Toland Jay Stetler of Alexandria, IN; one sister Dovie Jane Morris of Alexandria, IN; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, as well as number of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be 10:00 until service time, Saturday, April 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with Charles Holder officiating, burial to follow in Murfreesboro Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
