Betty J. Steele

Betty J. Steele, 80, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026, in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born February 16, 1946, in Prescott, Arkansas the daughter of the late Kyle Andrews and Dessie J. Stuart Andrews.

She was a very lively lady, that never met a stranger. She loved people. She enjoyed life and was a force to be reckoned with. Let’s Go was her middle name.

Betty loved anything to do with water. She taught numerous kids to water ski and all her grandkids to swim. She continued to water ski on her Jobe ski well into her Golden years.

She had many talents, a few of them were sewing, crafts, scrapbooking and playing the piano. At around 15 she got the job as the pianist at her childhood church. She continued to play for churches until she went into the nursing home. She would give anyone piano lessons that asked.

She was called many names to her dad she was Betty Babe, some Miss Betty, but to her grandkids she was Mom B. They thought she could do anything and she could.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ray Steele; three brothers Cecil, Carl, and Kyle Andrews Jr.; two sisters Linda Lou Andrews and Joyce Marie Brantley.

Survivors include one son Allen Arnold and wife Jenny, two daughters Cheryl Daniels and husband Wayne, Candy Womack and husband Robert; grandchildren Derrik Womack and wife Holly, Crystal Webb and husband Will, Alex Arnold and wife Asha, Andy Arnold, Aaran Daniels and wife Katherine; great grandchildren Kaiden Riddle, Abagale Webb, Parker Webb, Julianne Webb, Katelynn Womack, Kambryn Womack, Ava Webb, and Blakely Webb; siblings Grace Anette Davidson, Elizabeth Sue O’Neal, Georgia Rhodes and Joey Andrews; As well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Nubbin Hill Cemetery with Robert Womack, Will Webb and Derrik Womack officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
