Billy Don Theron Womack, age 87, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 with his loving family by his side, due to lengthy illness.

Bill, was born February 11, 1937 to Theron and Gertie (Hignight) Womack in Amity, Arkansas. He was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ, a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and owner of Womack Backhoe, Sand & Gravel.

He married the love of his life Patricia (Pat) on October 5, 1962 and they enjoyed sixty-two years of wedded bliss. Out of this union, the joy of his life was their daughter Leigh Angela.

Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son-in-law and best friend Jerry Wilson. He loved to watch college football and loved to cheer on those Razorbacks. Filled with pride over his only granddaughter Katerine Marie, and adding to his joy, a great grandson Dakota, and great granddaughter Garrette.

He loved to talk and visit with folks, and especially like to talk about the old days. Bill also had a quick wit, and usually left folks in laughter.

He was preceded in death by his sister Leta Fay Purdy and Perlie Mae Jackson.

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Pat) of Nashville, AR; a daughter Leigh Angela Wilson and husband Jerry of Nashville, AR; granddaughter Katherine Maries Sipes and husband Michael of Benton, AR; Dakota and Garrette both of Benton, AR; one brother James Henry Womack and wife Anna Laura of Maritta GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, at Pleasant Home Cemetery, with Karon Baxley and Dr. Glen Lance officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Pallbearers will be Randy Jackson, Michael Womack, Ron Purdy, Travis Purdy, Dave Carter, and Greg Westfall.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Beavert and Keith Self.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Pleasant Home Cemtery Fund in care of Keith Self, 421 W. 13th St. Murfreesboro, AR. 71958 or Children’s Home 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450
