Clara “Louise” Blake, 85, of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Bakersfield, California, and Dierks, Arkansas, passed away on September 4, 2026.
She was born on October 4, 1940, in Dierks, Arkansas, to Charlie and Ruby Chandler. Louise later moved to California, where she spent most of her life and raised her family. In 2020, she moved to Tampa, Florida, to be closer to family.
Louise was a loving mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed cooking, reading, watching videos on Facebook, spending time with family, and caring for her beloved animals, Tobi and Lily. She was known for her laid-back personality, gentle nature, love of family gatherings, and sweet tooth.
Louise was a Christian whose faith was important to her. Her family finds comfort in believing that she is now in Heaven, reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ruby Chandler; her brothers, D.M. Chandler, J.B. Chandler, and Dwight Chandler; and her sisters, Charlotte Collins, Helen Mounts, Jean Greene, Francis Pandza, and Jackie Blake.
She is survived by her daughters, Dana Blake and Stephanie Blake Nearey; her son-in-law, Ray Nearey; her sister, Susan Chandler; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
Louise will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Green Plains Cemetery near Dierks, under the direction of Latimer Fuenral Home of Nashville.
