Clovis Abilene McLaughlin Norwood, 83, of Mineral Springs, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life into the arms of Christ Thursday, August 27, at St. Michaelâ™s Hospital in Texarkana. Mrs. Norwood was born January 13, 1926, in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. âœMiss Abâ₝ was a long-time member and Sunday School Director of Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. After raising her four children, she graduated from Henderson State University and served for many years as an elementary teacher in the Mineral Springs and Murfreesboro schools. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Paul Murry Norwood, also of Mineral Springs.
