Dwight Douglas Chandler, age 80, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born October 6, 1943 in Green Plains, Arkansas the son of the late Charlie Richard Chandler and Ruby Hawthorne Chandler.
Dwight was a member of the church of Christ. His true love was his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time at his produce stand on south Main St. in Nashville. He enjoyed the many friends and customers that stopped by to visit yearly.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Phylis Kay Burton, one brother D.M; sisters Charlotte, Helen, Jean, Jackie, and Francis.
Survivors include his son Scott Chandler and wife Jenny of Arkadelphia, AR; Rebecca Potter and husband Brient of Delight, AR, Leslie Vaught and husband Kenny of Nathan, AR; brother JB Chandler of Mineral Springs, AR; sisters Susan Chandler of Eureka Springs, AR, Louise Blake of Tampa, FL, Jackie Deere of Dierks, AR; grandchildren, Austin Vaught, Dillon Vaught, Courtney Vaught, Matthew Heaston, Joseph Heaston, and Alley Heaston; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be noon until 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 12, at Green Plains Cemetery, with Tommy Mounts officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
Pallbearers will be Austin Vaught, Dillon Vaught, Matthew Heaston, Joseph Heaston, Chris Long, and Hayden Bishop.
Honorary pallbearer will be Davin Burgess.
