Edwin Lloyd (Pete) Bennett

Edwin Lloyd (Pete) Bennett, 81, of Texarkana, TX, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at his home. He was born August 1, 1929, in Nashville, AR, the son of the late Gus and Lelia Myrtle Seals Bennett. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bennett of Texarkana, TX; three sons, Gary Bennett of Cypress, CA, Blaine Mattson and Chad Mattson both of Minneapolis, MN; two daughters, Teresa Stretz of Rialto, CA and Karen McCarty of Benton, AR; one brother, Oscar Bennett of Texarkana, AR; two sisters, Myrtle Walston and Marvelle Freeman both of Texarkana,AR; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, August 18, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel, with Kevin Holt officiating, burial in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville.
