Ena Jacqueline (Hile) Chisum

Ena Jacqueline Chisum, age 98, formerly of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away December 1, 2020 at Grace Nursing Home in Slaughter, Louisiana, where she resided the last twelve years. She was born November 10, 1922 to the late Leonard Jordan and Ola Stott Hile.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and was known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Mama Ena or Grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Beryl Wayne Chisum; a grandson Jonathan Blaine Chisum; four sisters Etheline Armstrong, Vivian Dorathy Rogers, Mary Elizabeth Alexander and Ione Hile; and two brothers Lindell Hile and Paul Hile.

Survivors include a son Gail Chisum and wife Fran of St. Francisville, LA; two daughters Annette Giese and husband Steve of Little Rock, AR and Jackie Griffin and husband Richard of Alexandria, LA. Six grandchildren Amy Chisum Spillman and husband Brian, Candice Griffin, Ashley Robinson and husband Phillip, Matthew Griffin and wife Krysten, Whitney Fosselman and husband Jason, and Sam Griffin; eight great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends.

There will be a private graveside service in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
