Gloria Jean Stone, 82, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 7, 2026.
Born on February 10, 1944, in Dierks, Arkansas, Gloria devoted her life to her family. She spent many years as a loving wife and devoted mother, dedicating herself to raising her family before beginning a career outside the home. After working in several different fields, she found her calling as a pharmacy technician, where she enjoyed a long and rewarding career helping others.
She was well known for her delicious banana pudding and her “pink fluff” that her kids and grandkids looked forward to enjoying on the holidays.
Gloria was a woman of Christian faith. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Dierks before later moving her membership to First Baptist Church of Nashville.
Her greatest joy was her family. She was blessed with three children, Susan Stone of Prescott, Steven and Christie Stone of Nashville, and Shannan Friend and husband Jimmy of Nathan; five grandchildren, Megan Tullis and husband Brandon of Prescott, Jonathan Friend and wife Kelsey of Gurley, Alabama, Seth Reeder and wife Megan of Prescott, Chance Stone and wife Taylor of Nashville, and Taylor Friend and wife Bailey of Nathan; one bonus grandchild, Lida Lee Daly and husband Mike of Alexandria, VA, nine great-grandchildren, Will Reeder, Slade Tullis, Laura Reeder, Liam Friend, Easton Friend, Harlyn Tullis, Kade Friend, Amelia Reeder, Madelynne Friend, two bonus great grandchildren, Lily and Gabe Daly, one brother in law, Harold Stone and wife Rosemary of Bismarck and two sister in laws, Linda Bell of Nashville and Debbie Stone of Dierks, all of whom she loved dearly. She was blessed with a lifelong friend, Rita Hunter and special friends, Caney Lee and Treva Young.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Dwayne Stone, her parents, Clyde Lee Bell and Ruth Ann Edwards Bell, her brother, Wayne Bell and nephew Dennis Bell.
She leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, hard work, and unconditional love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate staff of The Springs of Hillcrest in Prescott for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to our Mom and Mamaw during her time there.
A graveside service of Gloria's life will be held at County Line Cemetery on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00.
Though Gloria will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
