Helen Louise House

Helen Bissell House, age 85, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Dierks, Arkansas.

Helen was born in Howard County and was a resident of Nashville, Arkansas, during her school years and until she met and married Glen House in 1970. Glen and Helen made their home on land gifted to them by Glen’s mother, Mrs. Carrie House, between Center Point and Dierks.

Helen appreciated meeting countless good people during her many years of office work and during time connected with poultry and cattle farming.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, W. Glen House; her parents, John T. Bissell and Odean Jacques Bissell; her brother, Charles L. Bissell, and his wife, Dottie Newell Bissell; and a special aunt and uncle, Inez Jacques Hickerson and Allen Hickerson. She is survived by David and Barry Bissell, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services for Mrs. House will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Joe Isham officiating. Interment will follow in Bissell Chapel Cemetery near Newhope, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.

Memorials can be made in Mrs. House’s memory to the Bissell Chapel Cemetery, in the form of flowers.
