Hugh Allen “Mug” Carver, age 96, of Lockesburg, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2025 in Ashdown. He was born on April 13, 1929 in the Falls Chapel Community to the late Otis Lee Carver and Marry Etta Brooks Carver.
Mr. Carver was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Hugh worked construction and was a farmer for many years. He enjoyed working with cattle and working on tractors. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donnis Zachry Carver, and six siblings, John Brooks Carver, Ida Faye Vann, Mary Lucy Carver, Raymond “Punk” Carver, Eddie Lee Carver and Betty Crow.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Miesha Carver and Dewayne Carver; one brother, Tommy Carver; two sisters, Sarah Smart and Laura Jones; five grandchildren, Charles (Lacey) Carver, Matthew Carver, Kaylea (Kirby) Adcock, Lauren (Matt) Turner, and Aubrey Carver; three great-grandchildren, Brian, Bailey and Greyson Carver; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the Falls Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Falls Chapel Cemetery with Bro. Ben Jones officiating, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Nashville.
