James “Macky’ McKnight, 75, of Delight, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 5, 2026, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was born on June 30, 1950, to Raymond Ira and Martha Frances Miller McKnight.
He was a member of Delight First Missionary Baptist Church. Along with his wife, he owned and operated McKnight’s Grocery in Delight for thirty-eight years.
Macky is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years Rheta Norman McKnight; children Jeff (Melody) McKnight and Celeste (Chris) May; grandchildren Coley Caldwell, Carol Basurto, Madison (Braden) Healy, McKenzie (Bryle) Fatheree and Jenna May; great-grandchildren Aiden and Alec Basurto, Kannon and Aspen Cain.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, at Delight First Baptist Church, with Bro. Bryan Sellers and Bro. Verlon Wood officiating, burial to follow in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Mid-South Make – A – Wish Foundation.
