James Dale Peters

James Dale Peters, age 96 formerly of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 in Naples, Florida. He was born in the community of Belton, Arkansas on February 12, 1927 to the late James Alfred Peters and Zettie Orlena Dotson Peters.

Dale proudly served his country in the United States Army in the World War II era. He went on to work for the Chicago Transit Authority in Chicago, Illinois. His career began as a trolley driver and later was a bus driver. Upon his retirement, he was the President of the CTA Credit Union. He was able to retire and move to his hometown of Nashville, Arkansas. He enjoyed this portion of his life for over forty years. He loved his family and will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loving wife of sixty-five years, Sue Reese Peters, and his brother Calvin Peters.

Survivors include his three children Patricia Ann Parenti of Naples, FL, James L. Peters of Marco Island, FL and Linda S. Peters of Roanoke, VA; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 in the Old Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
