James Wesley Sherck

James Wesley Sherck (79) passed away on August 20th, 2022, in Little Rock, AR with his children. Jim was born to Ward and Joesphine Sherck on December 17th, 1942, in Lorain OH.

He started his military career in June of 1960 serving in both the Army and then the Navy. He was discharged honorably in June of 1968. After his military career, he worked in the shipyards and in the construction industry as a journeyman pipefitter. This brought him to Arkansas where he remained for the majority of his life.

He spent his life with a love of horses, mechanics, big band swing music, trains, and his faith in God. He loved spending time with his family and friends and could always be counted on to stop and have a chat, a laugh, or a hug - whichever was needed at the time. He was active in his church and enjoyed being able to help anyone in need when and where he could.

He is preceded in death by both parents and his first wife, Sue Sherck (Pickett) He is survived by his brother Karl (Connie) Sherck, his sister Deloris (Bill) Edwards and his 5 children and their families: John (Shannon) Sherck, Jason Sherck, and Joseph Sherck, Abigail (Matthew) Norman and Aaron Sherck. He had 6 grandchildren: Tyler Sherck, Lane (Shanna) Sherck, Cody Sherck, Dalton Sherck, and 2 others and one on the way. He also had 4 great-grandchildren: Camerie Sherck, Emma Sherck, Emmett Sherck, and Tucker Sherck.
