Jerry Lee Linzy, age 84, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born March 23, 1941, in Roy, Arkansas, the son of the late Woody Lee Linzy and Frances Inez Reeves Linzy.
Mr. Linzy was attending the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. He started out with his career at the age of 19 working for the Arkansas State Highway Department. Following that he spent many years working in construction operating a dozer and later becoming a foreman over construction crews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Kathleen (Kathy) Linzy; and one brother David Linzy.
Survivors include one sister Jo Ann Hoover and husband Leon of Murfreesboro, AR; one daughter Tracy Cortez and husband Ernest of Houston, TX; step children Christy Peek and Sherri Lambert; adopted granddaughter Whitney Dickerson and husband Alexander; two nephews Brad Hoover of Murfreesboro, AR, Shay Hoover and wife Mandy of Nashville, AR; one niece Sherri Ford and husband Mark of Springhill, AR; his sister in law Melva Linzy of Hope, AR; as well as numerous family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with Bro. Kenneth Bobo officiating, burial will follow in Roy Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Roy Cemetery, In care of Jo Ann Hoover, 2306 Hwy. 301 S. Murfreesboro, AR. 71958, or Diamond Bank in Murfreesboro.
