Jerry Lee Reed, 67, of Nashville, died Sunday, November 21, 2010, at his home .He was born July 10, 1943, in Nashville, AR, the son of the late George Gray and Lillie Cleo Hill Reed. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Nashville. He graduated from Nashville High School, in 1960 he was voted Most Valuable Football Player. He received an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice at Texarkana College. He was a member of the AR Officials Association for Football. He retired after 30 years with the Arkansas State Police; Drivers testing â�" Criminal Investigation Division, State Police Suba Driver, Swat Team, and Polygraph Examiner. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by one brother, David Reed. He is survived by one son, Terry Michael Reed of Juneau, AK; one daughter, Suzanna Lynn Brewer and husband, Jimmy, of Nashville, AR; one brother, Tommy Reed and wife, Shirley, of Winthrop, AR; one sister, Wanda Martin and husband, Jim, of Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Callie Elizabeth Parker and husband, Cody; Charles Ross Brewer, Teron Gray Reed, Kristyn Rose Reed, all of Nashville, AR; great-granddaughter, Ava Reed Parker; Aunts, Neoma Ferguson and Francis Turner; special friends, Judie Reed, Bonnie Brown and Karen McFarland, and Moon Ware; a number of nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 24, at First Baptist Church, Nashville, with Bros. David Blasé and Jimmy Dale officiating, burial in Unity Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. Memorials may be made to Howard County Christian Clinic or First Baptist Church Maintenance Fund. The family will receive friends at Latimer Funeral Home, Tuesday, from 6:00 â�" 8:00 P.M.
