Joe McAdams

Joe McAdams, 75 of Saratoga, Arkansas died on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at his residence in Saratoga, Arkansas. He was born, November 11, 1933 in Nashville, Arkansas. The son of the late Henry and Naursis Newman McAdams. He was a member of the Saratoga Church of Christ, a member of the Iron Workers Local# 623 Baton Rouge, LA. and was retired from Broad, Vogt and Conant. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Donald, Henry, Ben and Charles McAdams. Survivors include his wife of fifty-six years, Helen McAdams of Saratoga, AR; two sons, Johnny McAdams and wife Terry of Red Oak, TX and Dale McAdams of Texarkana, AR, three daughters, Cheryl McJunkins and husband Joe of Saratoga, AR, Dawn Forthman and husband Mike of Arkadelphia, AR and Rorie Hinds and husband Shane of Fouke, AR, one daughter-in-law Vickie McAdams of Ashdown, AR; one brother, John McAdams and wife Tina of Ashdown, AR; four sisters, Georgia Murphy of Fresno, CA, Patricia Mueller of Taylor Ridge, IL, Eunice Cox and Wilson of Texarkana, AR and Kathrine Hightower of Burton, MI; three sister-in-laws, June McAdams of Bossier City, LA; Linda Higginbotham of West Point, MS; and Michelle McAdams of Texarkana, AR; 11 grand children; 6 great grand children. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Saturday, at Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Nashville, with Harold Turner officiating, burial to follow in Saratoga Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Nashville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Friday, April 10, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to the Saratoga Cemetery fund.
