Julia Delores “Dee” Knight Turbeville, 83, of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away, on Sunday April 5, 2026, in Ashdown, Arkansas.

She was born on Wednesday April 29, 1942, the daughter of the late James David and Maggie Lena Gordon Knight.

Dee was a follower and friend of Jesus, and a faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Nashville, Arkansas. Her many years of service in the children’s ministry shined a bright light of her love and faithfulness to Jesus.

Her dedication to the Howard County Children’s Center for many years made a lasting impression on all that worked with her during her service there.

She had an infectious smile, a huge heart filled with love for everyone she met, and a true spirit for life. Her door was always open for her family and friends that she loved spending time with, making sure no one left hungry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clell Dean Turbeville, and her brother, Harold Knight.

She is survived by her son, Mike Oxley, granddaughter Nakia Oxley, and great-grandchildren Maggie Grace and Luke Hansford.

Dee and Clell were married for 47 years and blended their families together, which included children, Detra, Ricky, Cindy, and Misty, along with their spouses and children.

Graveside services for Mrs. Turbeville were Wednesday April 8, 2026, at Restland Memorial Park in Nashville, Arkansas. Latimer Funeral Home officiated.
