Katheryn Lockaby

Katheryn Lockaby, 91 of Murfreesboro, AR, died Monday, July 12, 2010, at a Murfreesboro nursing home. She was born November 20, 1918, at Murfreesboro, AR, the daughter of the late Will Thomas and Ada Riley Fugitt. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church; a retired employee of Crater of Diamonds. Mrs. Lockaby was preceded in death by husbands, Homer D. Lockaby and Coleman Smedley; granddaughter, Jeana Smedley; sisters, Nora Stuart and Minnie Pearl Calonickle; and one brother, Willie Fugitt. She is survived by one son, Don Smedley of Murfreesboro, AR; one daughter Mary Sue Ford of Murfreesboro, AR; one brother, Harold Fugitt of Murfreesboro, AR; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a number of nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 15, at First United Methodist Church, with Bros. Al Terrell, Freeman Henderson and Troy Thomas officiating, burial in Murfreesboro Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
