Kenneth Robert Bolender, age 79 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 in Nashville. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York on June 1, 1947, the son of the late Frederick L. Bolender and Mildred Evans Bolender.
Mr. Bolender was a member of the Mineral Springs United Methodist Church. He married Janet Bedwell Bolender on September 9, 1968 in Magnolia, Arkansas. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Southern State College in Magnolia in 1970. He went on to be an Environmental Investigator for Nationwide Insurance, as well as having his own environmental investigation company.
He was involved with several community organizations including the Lion’s Club in Deerfield, Illinois and Mineral Springs for over forty years He served as president in each chapter for several terms. He was also a member of the Lake County Crime Stoppers in Deerfield, Illinois.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marjorie Jones Schooley; a brother-in-law, James Schooley; and his wife’s grandparents, Murl and Josephine Lake Jones.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 58 years, Janet Bolender; his brother, James F. (Rae) Bolender; three sister-in-laws Diane Pittman, Josie (Zane) Thomas and Judi Hood; his nephew, Jim (Dawn) Bolender; his niece, Cynthia Bolender; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A graveside service for Mr. Bolender will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2026 in New Corinth Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home.
