Linda Lou (Latimer) Green

March 13, 1938 — December 25, 2022

Nashville

Linda Lou Latimer Green, 84 of Nashville, loving mother of five children and adorning wife to late husband Eugene Green, passed away surrounded by family on the afternoon of December 25th, 2022 in Nashville, Arkansas. Linda was born on March 13th, 1938 in Hope, Arkansas. She was raised in Mineral Springs by her parents Hugh and Virginia Latimer and her grandmother Zona Latimer with her twin sister Betty Sue, where she made lifelong friends that were like family. She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Mineral Springs, Arkansas.

She was a loving, caring, nurturing woman. She was a great wife to Eugene Green. They were married for 57 years. She worked at the school as an aide, helped on the dairy, and at the chicken houses. She was a great help and one of the toughest, hardest working, most perfect farmer's wives that we knew. Along with helping on the farm, she took care of their five children and any other child or person that entered their home. She was the true definition of hospitality. She was a great cook and any one that came in could sit and eat could attest to that. No matter who showed up, there was always plenty. She was the absolute best grandmother to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. No matter how tired she was or how bad she felt, she never turned anyone away and was always welcoming. Many times when there was bad weather, neighbors knew they could come stay if they did not feel safe at home. If you did not feel comfortable or at home when you were at Eugene and Linda’s, chances are, something was wrong with you.

Survivors include; Her five children, Vickie Chambers and Ricky of Anchorage, Alaska, Kathy Young, Steve Green and Lynelle, Jennie Marion, and Susan Green all of Nashville, Arkansas. Eight grandchildren, Rick Chambers and Hiromi of Anchorage, Alaska, Alicia McCauley, Casey Goodwin and Cole, Laci Gray and Mark, Gus Turner, Kiann, Mace, and Sage Green. Eight great grandchildren, Jackson and Max McCauley, Hayden Goodson and Asher Gray, Eli and Olivia Chambers, Brantley and Lattie Goodwin, her twin sister Betty Tollett, her sister in law Linda Ross and Kenneth, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Green and her granddaughter Kim Chambers of Anchorage, Alaska.

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and her pet foxes that waited in the yard for her to bring them her leftover scraps every single night. We are sad that we can not keep her, but know that we will see her again. We are rejoicing that she is no longer in pain, and that she is with the angels having a BIG reunion with loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel in Nashville. Interment will follow in County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
