Lucian Clyde “Louie” Bell Jr., age 72, of Delight, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas. He was born May 12, 1952 in Billstown, Arkansas the son of the late Lucian Clyde Bell Sr. and Millogean Cooper Bell.
Louie was a faithful member of the Delight Church of Christ. During his career he worked for over forty years as a millwright for Potlach. After retiring from Potlach he handled the maintenance for Delight and Murfreesboro schools. Mr. Bell was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, guns, and being with his brothers at the Wolf Creek hunting club.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Sylvia Humphry.
Survivors include his daughter Megan Jackson and husband Marc of Murfreesboro, AR; two grandchildren Reid Jackson and John Parker Jackson both of Murfreesboro, AR; nephews Todd Humphry and wife Susan; Trevor Humphry and wife Vicki; great nieces and nephews Emily Ellis and husband Clint, Jared Humphry and wife Mackenzie, Allie Humphry, and Madison Humphry and fiancé Will Sheffield.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 31, at Delight Church of Christ, with Brent Alexander and Stevie Leon McKinnon officiating, burial will follow in Delight Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Pallbearers will be David House, Joe House, Steve House, Mark House, Lonnie VanCamp, and Adam Morris.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Delight Cemetery Fund, PO Box 84 Delight, AR. 71940 or Home for Healing 4300 W. Markham, Little Rock, AR. 72205
