Lynda Joyce McGuire Stone

Lynda Joyce McGuire Stone, age 85, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 in Nashville, Arkansas. She was born on February 11, 1940 in Prescott, Arkansas to the late Clifton Alexander McGuire and Wilma Grimes McGuire.

Lynda enjoyed living her life to the fullest. She loved to go on road trips and see places she’s never seen. She enjoyed meeting new people and learning something new from each person she interacted with. She enjoyed going antiquing and marveling at the beauty of old handmade primitive furniture and the designs and colors of carnival glass. She loved her family dearly and with a devotion and loyalty that knows no bounds. But Lynda’s main passion was spending time in her greenhouse working with her plants. She was a free spirit who will forever be missed.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Rhonda Elaine Stone.

Those left to mourn her loss yet cherish her memory include her daughter, Dana Stone; special son-in-law, Jack Bonds; her brother, Don (Janie) McGuire; her grandkittens, Tinky, Merlin, Elton, Grayson and Sissy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, with burial to follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Prescott, Arkansas, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
