Mary Elizabeth Burrus

Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Burrus age 78 of Mineral Springs, Arkansas formerly of Booneville, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018. She was born at home on September 18, 1939 near Baldwin, Mississippi the daughter of the late Errett and Ella Cornelius Barnes. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Mineral Springs, Arkansas. A member of the Sunshine Club. During her career she served as the bank manager for Peoples Bank and Trust of Booneville, MS. Ms. Burrus was kind, tender, thoughtful, and a calm presence with her friends at the Village. She was preceded in death by a brother Jerry Barnes. Survivors include two sons Michael and wife Wendy Stueart Burrus of Farmington, AR; Mark and wife Kelly McJunkins Burrus of Bryant, AR; one sister Judy Perry and husband Whit of Southaven, MS: five granddaughters Colleen, Corrine, Caroline, Lillie, and Claire. A special longtime friend and co-worker Nelene Pannell. As well as her many friends at the village. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, June 3, at Mineral Springs Cemetery, with Bro.
