Melveda Arnold

Melveda Arnold, 88, of Laplace, LA, died Thursday, August 27, 2009, at River Parish�s Hospital in Laplace. She was born October 14, 1920, at Chapel Hill, AR, the daughter of the late Floyd and Maude Butts Tolleson. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Alberta Chapter 538 of the Eastern Star. She was member of the Home Demostration Club; First Baptist Church in Laplace, LA, and former member of the Sardis Methodist Church. She attended services at Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her husband, J. Frank Arnold. She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Terry of Laplace, LA; one sister, Billie Rae Istre of San Antonio, TX; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of friends.
