Pauline Mary Houghton

Pauline Houghton, age 87, of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, entered into eternity with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.  She was born December 25, 1934 in Liverpool, England the daughter of the late George Houghton and Edith Simms Houghton.

Pauline was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.  She was an outstanding, godly woman, and her main love was her Jesus.  Mrs. Houghton was very intelligent and loved to give life lessons to her family and friends.  Her family described her as a beautiful masterpiece in which God broke the mold when He made her.  She was full of life, mercy, grace, and resilience and loved everyone and never met a stranger.  Her hobbies included reading, sudoku, word searches, gardening, knitting, and she never had idle hands.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two grandsons Sam Lee Hooker III and Zechariah Melson.

Survivors include one son Sammy and wife Gayla Hooker of Nashville, AR her favorite daughter in law who she loved dearly; daughters Paula Turbeville and Georgana Gwynne both of Murfreesboro, AR, Malinda Melson of Nashville, AR,  and Gayle Hooker of Spokane, WA. As well as a long line of legacies of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and  great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her fur babies Sophie, Buck, Simba, Mama, Tops, Blue, Sunshine, and Patches.
