Reginald Frank “Reggie” Eaton, age 83 of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 in Hot Springs. He was born on February 6, 1943 in Texarkana, Texas, the son of the late Reginald Byron Eaton and Ova Eola Thomas Eaton.
Mr. Eaton was of the Baptist faith. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked in the hospitals in Murfreesboro and Hope as a lab technician for over 43 years. He is remembered as one of a kind and somebody that those he worked with could confide in and trust.
He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and running dogs. He enjoyed gardening and watching hummingbirds. He was also a wood craftsman. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren. He was also a Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betha Ruth Eaton; his first wife, Peggy Joyce Spenser Eaton and his second wife, Phyllus Ann Eaton.
Those left to cherish his memory include his three children, Carl Wayne (Elisabeth) Eaton, Carroll Gene Eaton and Reginald Anthony Eaton; his sister, Anita Gayle Swanson; Two grandchildren, Brady Adam (Lindsey) Eaton and Bailey Savannah (Kalob) Eaton-Goldman; five great-grandchildren, Faithlyn, Madison, Landon, Lawson and Koty; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Brian Adair officiating in the Latimer Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro.
Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2026 in the Rocky Mound Cemetery in Fouke, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home of Murfreesboro.
