Sheila Webb, age 84, of Mountain Home, AR went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 15, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 26, 1941, in Barnstaple, England, U.K. to Eric Newton and Betty Walter Newton. Her father volunteered as a Navigator in the Royal Air Force during WWII. His plane was shot down over France and all seven souls on board perished. Her mother worked for the war effort in the Guide International Service. While riding a train, she met an American GI, John Castle. They married with hopes of returning to the states for their life together with four-year-old Sheila after the war.

She is preceded in death by her mother, biological and stepfather, a half-sister, Annie Laurie Castle and her husband, David Webb.

In her teen years, Sheila loved dancing. She became proficient enough to teach tap and especially loved ballet. She met the love of her life, John David Webb while they were in Radiology school at St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock. They were married 57 years until his death. She chose to remain at home to raise her children and she became an irreplaceable, faithful partner in his many Christian ministries. She taught many ladies and children’s classes as well as children’s choir.

Survivors include two daughters, Leslie McCrary of Nashville and Cynthia Montgomery of Mountain Home, also three sons, Eric Webb and wife April of Auburn, Alabama, Dr. John Webb and wife Michele of Hot Springs, Dr. Christopher Webb and wife Michelle of Mountain Home. She has 14 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving her is her brother John Castle and wife Joyce of Little Rock.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 19, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with burial to follow in Restland Memorial Park, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
