Thomas Lee Wesche, age 85 of Nashville, Arkansas, passed away February 25, 2024 at his home in Nashville.
Tom was born October 11, 1938, the son of Orville and Mildred Relue Wesche in Defiance, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wesche, and one sister, Suzanne Wesche Guelde.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Katie Darling Wesche; one daughter, Kerri Lee Wesche Davis of Jacksonville, Arkansas; one son Jonathan Mark Wesche of Nashville and one brother, Kenneth Wesche of Rapid City, South Dakota. He also had on special cousin and friend, Loretta Corbin, along with many special relatives and friends.
Tom was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ where he served as auditor and bookkeeper for a number of years.
Tom served in the United States Air Force as a pilot and aircraft commander of AC-141-Starlifter jet during the Vietnam conflict. He graduated the head of his class in pilot training at Craig Air Force Base in Alabama. After relocating to Nashville, he joined the Arkansas Army National Guard.
Tom had a very soft place in his heart for children who did not have the advantage of a secure Christian home. Memorials may be made to Southern Christian Home, 100 West Harding St., Morrilton, AR 72110 or the Children’s Homes, Inc. 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould, AR 73450.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in the Latimer Funeral Chapel with Bob Jamison and Zack Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
