Troy McCullough, 87, of Langley, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Born on April 3, 1938, in Nashville, Arkansas, he was the son of the late John T. McCullough and Delia Mae Cornish McCullough.
A member of Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, Louisiana, Troy lived a life rooted in faith, family, and the outdoors. A proud native of Nashville, he was a standout athlete, playing alongside his twin brother, Coy, as a celebrated running back for the Nashville Scrappers football team. Troy dedicated much of his professional life to Conagra, where he served as a hatchery manager, earning respect for his hard work and commitment.
Troy’s love for the outdoors was evident in his passions for hunting, fishing, and gardening. Known for his green thumb, he took great pride in cultivating his garden, where he found joy and tranquility. His warm spirit and love for life touched everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Troy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jennie Lou Turley McCullough, and eight siblings.
He leaves behind a cherished legacy in his two sons, Steve McCullough and Scott McCullough (Angela); his brother, Reeder McCullough and sister, Vicky McMahan; eight grandchildren, Taylor McCullough, Anna Hamilton, Mandy Duncan, Natalie McCullough, Macy McCullough, Katherine Jones, Robert Muñoz, and Jennifer Muñoz; and five great-grandchildren, Gabriel Scott Duncan, Troy Samuel Duncan, Caroline Rose Jones, Joseph Hamilton, and Anabelle Hamilton. Troy is also remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Graveside services will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, Arkansas.
