William Glenn "Goober" Stone

William Glenn "Goober" Stone, age 71, of Delight, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at his home in Delight. He was born on March 30, 1943 in Delight, to the late Leon Stone and Pearl (Gregory) Stone. He retired after 40 years International Paper, he also enjoyed riding around in the hills telling jokes, hunting, fishing, and visiting family and friends. Dad always said: "Do at least one thing you love to do everyday, because you never know when it might be your last day." Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Stone; two daughters, Cindy Davis and husband, Danny of Delight, and Wanda Campbell of Dierks; one son, Clint "Beebo" Stone of Delight; 8 grandchildren, Josh Lockwood, Justin Stone, Jacob Jackson, Jesse Jackson, Jamie Jackson, Memphis Jackson, Eden Roberts Henderson, and Andrew Henderson; 3 great grandchildren, Brylee Lockwood, Tynlee Lockwood and Blayze Stone; and one brother, William Cecil Stone, Sr. of Deliht. A number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends mourn his passing. Services will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Latimer Funeral Home Chapel in Murfreesboro with Larry Miller and Stevie Leon McKinnon officiating. Burial to follow in Delight Cemetery under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the chapel in Murfreesboro.
