Betty Francis (Wakefield) Smith

Betty Francis Wakefield Smith, age 85, of Nashville, Arkansas, died Monday, April 24, 2023 in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  She was born November 16, 1937 in Montrose, Arkansas the daughter of the late Carl and Dovie Morphew Wakefield.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the New Life in Jesus Christ Church in Nashville.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and she truly loved being with her grandchildren.  Some of her enjoyments in life was watching westerns, British TV, and occasionally a trip to the casino.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert Smith, siblings Bobby Johnson, Brenda Weston, Barbara Wakefield, and Boyce Wakefield.

Survivors include two sons Wayne David Smith of Portland, OR, Andrew Herbert Smith and wife Glenna of Nampa, ID; two daughters Jeannie Francis Ormiston and husband Keith of Everett, WA, and Kathleen Maria Smith of Nashville, AR; two sisters Bonita Fagan of Nashville, AR; and Beth Bryson of WA; two grandchildren that she raised Rory Garcia and wife Tonya of Harker Heights, TX, Chelsea Tollett of Nashville, AR, additional grandchildren Rex Hampton, Matt Hampton, Michelle Green, Andrew Smith, Danille Ogden; great grandchildren Brandon, Cade, Chloe, Mallory, Ava, Wyatt, Caleb, Matthew; great-great grandchildren Leo, Seth, Ellie, and Emmitt.  As well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation services are under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
