William "Sonny" Epton Nutt

Nashville

William Epton “Sonny” Nutt, age 78, of Nashville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 at his home.  He was born April 29, 1945 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas the son of the late Curtis Nutt and Mable Sutton Nutt.

Mr. Nutt was a retired service man and lineman for REA.  On January 5, 1997 he was ordained and surrendered to preach. Throughout those years he had the opportunity to spread the gospel to many area congregations.  He truly loved to preach.  During his younger years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and pulling kids skiing.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Nutt, two sisters Helen Floyd and Betty Nutt; and one brother in law David Harrington.

Survivors include one son Billy Nutt and wife Melissa of Mineral Springs, AR; one daughter Missy Thompson and husband Randy of Lockesburg, AR; four sisters Wanda Griffin and husband Howard of Springdale, AR, Tina Harrington of Little Rock, AR, Linda Hosey and husband Jim of Mineral Springs, AR, and Jackie Gower and husband Rick of New Hope, AR; grandchildren Betsy McJunkins and husband Nick of Lockesburg, AR, Braden Nutt and wife Amber of Murfreesboro, AR, Ashley Hale and husband Travis of Mineral Springs, AR, Layne Thompson and wife Hallie of Lockesburg, AR, and Brooklyn Nutt of Mineral Springs, AR; four great grandchildren Jacob Hale, Ethan Hale, Kessie McJunkins, and Kolson McJunkins; one brother in law Dr. John Floyd, as well as two special friends Ethel Scoggins and Peggy Hopper.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dierksen Hospice for their love and compassion to Mr. Nutt.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, at Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville, with Bro. Alan Cook officiating, cremation services will follow, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home in Nashville.
